What is Microfiber?
Microfiber is the perfect blend of polyester and polyamide. This fiber is 1/100th the size of a strand of human hair. When this high quality microfiber is combined with the right knitting process it creates an extremely effective cleaning material. This material can hold up to seven times its weight in water. Unlike many other types of cloths that smear dirt across the surface you are trying to clean, the microfiber cloths act like bionic sponges removing the dirt and bacteria to leave you with a clean, highly polished surface.
What is Norwex Antibacterial Microfiber
Norwex is proud to announce a new generation of Microfiber, which contains an environmentally friendly silver based antibacterial agent.
As of January 1, 2007 the Enviro Cloth (35 x 35 cm /14" x 14") is now made with this Antibacterial Microfiber.
The New Antibacterial Microfiber is a new Microfiber (patent pending) that contains an environmentally friendly antibacterial agent that has passed both FDA (US Food & Drug Administration) and EPA (US Environmental Protection Agency) approval.
The new Norwex Antibacterial Microfiber continues to remove 99.9% of germs and bacteria from the surfaces you are cleaning, with the added benefit that the antibacterial agent embedded in the microfiber immediately begins to break down the bacteria and germs that are trapped within the microfiber.
Testing conducted by Norwex showed that the bacteria picked up by the microfiber was reduced by more than 99.99% after 24 hours.
The new Microfiber should be regarded as a complement to regular hygiene practices as it helps prevent the transfer of germs to your hands while cleaning and prevents cross contamination.
What are the benefits of Microfiber cleaning?
Microfiber cloths are environmentally friendly. They can reduce the consumption of cleaning chemicals in your home up to 90% while at the same time cutting down your exposure to toxic fumes. This can make a big difference for anyone with allergies and chemical sensitivities. In important areas of our home like bathrooms and kitchens, microfiber cloths remove 99% of the bacteria from surfaces resulting in a cleaner, healthier environment. Microfiber cloths are very durable. They are widely used in commercial cleaning environments and can withstand the rigors of everyday usage.
Does Nowrex antimicrobial microfiber kill bacteria?
These cloths are designed to REMOVE bacteria as opposed to KILLING it...When you clean with chemicals you are killing the bacteria but leaving a food source behind for the bacteria to use to grow back. Eventually, the bacteria becomes immune to these cleaners and that is why they are always having to come out with NEW AND IMPROVED products.
Our micro fiber cloths are designed to grab the bacteria and keep it locked in the fibers until you rinse out your cloth.
How are Microfiber Cloths Used?
Microfiber cloths can be used wet or dry.
Dry: The static effect when using microfiber dry enhances the ability to attract dirt and dust particles. As you lightly wipe the surface, the microfiber attracts and draws up even the smallest particles of dust.
Wet: The microfibers work together to give an excellent cleaning effect. Moisten with clean water and wipe away grease, chalk, impurities and bacteria from all washable surfaces. For spot removing, spray water on the surface being cleaned.
